Basic Canvas 7.x Installation
**For systems that have already been configured, please make a backup of Canvas from Administration UI and download it to an external USB drive. **
** If on a catalyst – Open VSConfig and set defaults before uninstalling. **
If installed, uninstall the previous version of Canvas through Add/Remove programs.
Download ISO file.
Create folder on Desktop “Canvas Installer”
Mount ISO simply by double clicking. Copy ISO files to desktop folder “Canvas Installer”. You will need to extract all files from the ISO before proceeding.
Installing Canvas Server:
Open copied file location and proceed to “Utilities/Server/InstallServerFeatures/EnableServerFeatures.bat.”
Right-click ‘EnableServerFeatures.bat and run as Administrator.
Once finished, system will request a reboot. Select “Yes.”
Open installer file location to “.../Canvas/setup.exe”
Right-click ‘setup.exe’ and run as Administrator.
When dialog box prompts for installation type, select both “Complete Client” and “Server”
Complete All install prompts.
System will reboot.
After reboot, open Canvas Client application and log into Canvas Server.
Username: admin
Password: ‘canvas’ or ‘Jupiter@1’
Installing Canvas Client:
Open installer file location to “.../Canvas/setup.exe”
Right-click ‘setup.exe’ and run as Administrator.
When dialog box prompts for installation type, select only “Complete Client”
Complete all install prompts.
System will reboot.
After reboot, open Canvas Client application and log into Canvas Server.
